How to get to Bondi Beach by train and bus
Station, line, time and the last leg — the complete guide.
Take the train to Bondi Junction (the T4 line), then continue by bus to reach Bondi Beach and the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk. The last leg takes roughly ~15 min.
Bondi Junction is also a large shopping centre (Westfield) directly above the station.

Bondi Beach is Sydney’s most famous beach — but, despite the name, there is no train station at the sand. The closest railhead is Bondi Junction, the terminus of the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line. From the bus interchange above the station, frequent buses (the prepaid 333, or the 380 and 381) run the last two kilometres down to Campbell Parade at the beach in about ten to fifteen minutes. The whole trip is covered by Opal or a contactless card, with a small transfer discount when you tap between the train and the bus.
