Overview
The Sydney Opera House, on Bennelong Point, is the city’s UNESCO World Heritage icon and its busiest tourist landmark. The nearest station is Circular Quay on the T2, T3 and T8 lines — an elevated station right on the harbour, above the ferry wharves. From the platforms it is an easy, flat walk of about eight minutes around the quay to the Opera House forecourt, passing the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Overseas Passenger Terminal on the way. Circular Quay is also the hub for Sydney’s ferries, so it is easy to pair the Opera House with a harbour cruise or a ferry to Manly or Taronga Zoo.
